MOPC starts repairing landfill access roads

The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) began the reconstruction of the access roads to the Duquesa landfill with an investment of RD$500 million to avoid the collapse of the collection service and final disposal of 4,500 daily tons of solid waste of the National District and other municipalities of the great Santo Domingo.

During an act at the landfill itself, the Minister of Public Works, Delign Ascensionaccompanied by the Minister of the Environment and Natural Resources, Miguel Ceara Hattonand all the mayors of the Commonwealth of SD, promised to complete the works in five months.

With the unanimous vote of the assembly members, the Senate of the Republic approved the project Domain Forfeiture Lawin the last session of the legislative period, in an environment where harmony reigned between the ruling party and the opposition party.

The 29 senators who were present in the Hemicycle of the Upper House pressed the “Yes” in their seats, in order to send as Organic Law to the Executive Branch the much-discussed piece, which kept the two sections of the institution that makes the laws of the country in agitation and great dispute.

Haiti: Gang War Paralyzes Port-au-Prince

The metropolitan area of Prince Port lived a day of tension marked by the war between the G9 bands and GPEP which paralyzed all activities in much of the city, where the shooting throughout the day created a panic.

The sectors of Lalue, Marchand Post, Champ de Mars and Rue Lamard they were paralyzed and people could be seen running in all directions. Apparently, several people were hit by stray bullets. In university faculties students have collected bullets.

Government and CMD reach agreement for health service

The Government and the Dominican Medical Association (CMD) reached an agreement last night that includes eight points, some of which will be executed immediately and others gradually, including the appointment of a new volunteer at the Padre Billini hospital and the appointment of thousand doctors.

The information was offered by the vice president, Rachel Pena and the president of the CMD, Senen Cabaafter a meeting at the National Palace that began at 7:00 pm and lasted for three hours with heated discussions, in which the Minister of Health, Daniel Rivera and the Ombudsman, Pablo Ulloa, among others.

They dictate 6 months of preventive prison to killers Frederick Pérez

Yesterday, the four accused of murdering Frederick Perezthe 23-year-old young man who had been denounced as missing by his relatives and whose body was found in Pedro Brand’s La Guáyiga landfill.

After accepting a request from the Public Prosecutor’s Office, Judge Cecilia Toribio, from the Judicial Office of Permanent Attention of Santo Domingo Oeste, decided to send Argenis Nerlys Morillo de los Santos (Rubito) Already Christopher Arredondo to the Najayo Hombre prison, while Jeremy de Jesús Rodríguez (Monkey Silver) Y Reinaldo Antonio Garcia ordered that they be held in La Victoria.
