The new president of the Superior Military Court (STM), Lieutenant-Brigadier Francisco Joseli Parente Camelo, took office this Thursday afternoon (16) with a speech in defense of the democratic rule of law, the defense of democracy and pacification from the country. The formal session, at the court’s headquarters, in Brasília, was attended by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva; the president of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), Rosa Weber, the president of the Federal Senate, Rodrigo Pacheco, and authorities.
“I am convinced, Mr President [Lula], that his greatest challenge will be to pacify Brazil and definitively consolidate democracy in our country.
