The president of the National Electoral Council (CNE), Pedro Calzadilla, received this Tuesday the national secretary general of the organization for political purposes Independent Political-Electoral Organization Committee (Copei), Juan Carlos Alvarado, who informed the electoral authority about the process of renewal and registration of authorities the aforementioned organization, refers the web portal of the CNE.
Alvarado indicated that, within the framework of this process, Copei has carried out municipal and state conventions, with which it only remains to carry out the organization’s national convention to complete the cycle of renewal of authorities.
The leader of the green awning attended the meeting accompanied by the Deputy National Secretary General, Jonathan Patti; the National Vice President of Municipal Affairs, Félix Paredes; the president of the National Electoral Commission, Antonio Sotillo Luna; and Mildrex Fernández, who is also a member of that partisan body.
In statements, Alvarado informed of his party’s proposal to hold an inter-party primary election, in order to define a presidential candidate that brings together the different factors of the Venezuelan political opposition.
