President Maduro arrived in Türkiye this Friday

This Friday the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, arrived in Türkiye to participate in the inauguration of his counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

The information was released by the Presidential Press Twitter account in which it is detailed in a video that the Head of State arrived at the Esenboğa International Airport, in the city of Ankara.

The national President was received by the authorities of the Government of Türkiye, as part of the state visit he is making with the aim of strengthening relations of friendship and cooperation between both nations.

The Head of State is accompanied by his wife, the first combatant, Cilia Flores; the Venezuelan ambassador in Türkiye, José Bracho; and the president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez.

Diplomatic relations between the two countries date back 50 years and are currently strengthened.

New geopolitics of cooperation

The visit of President Nicolás Maduro to Türkiye is part of the emergence of a new geopolitics of cooperation between countries that travel the paths of respect and self-determination, with a view to achieving a better world.

“Venezuela assumes the leading role in the emergence of a new geopolitics of cooperation, shared development, respect and solidarity to move through the 21st century in peace. There is no other way! We believe and are committed to a better world”, indicated the Head of State on the social network.

Erdogan triumphs in the second round

Last Sunday, May 28, in the second round of the elections in Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdogan triumphed with almost 52% of the votes, putting aside the hopes of the opposition whose candidate, Kemal Kiliçdaroglu, reached 48% of the votes. votes, according to the official Anadolu Agency news agency.

Given these results, the president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, I congratulate to his counterpart in Türkiye and to the entire Turkish people.

“Venezuela celebrates the triumph of our brother and friend @RTErdogan, who was the winner in the presidential and parliamentary elections in Türkiye. We congratulate the Turkish people for this victory, wishing to continue working together to build the new world. Long live Türkiye!” he posted on Twitter.

Likewise, on May 30, the national President communicated with Erdogan who, in addition to congratulating him, reiterated Venezuela’s commitment to maintain complementary bilateral relations.
