Preliminary hearing set for former minister Dany Durand

The Ministry of Health today received the second disbursement from the Government of the Republic of China (Taiwan), which is destined for the project “Improvement of the Quality of Care of Health Establishments of the MSPS”.

The amount delivered amounts to US$ 5,700,000, in the

framework of bilateral cooperation between Paraguay and Taiwan. In this sense, the signing of the certificate of receipt of the second disbursement for the project “Improvement of the Quality of Attention of the Health Establishments of the MSPS” was carried out, whose total investment is US$ 14,992,733.

With this second delivery, the Ministry of Health will be able to conclude the execution of the activities that are subject to said financing.

On the progress of the project, there is the digital transformation process called “HIS Health Information System”, which allows speeding up patient care at a national level, thanks to the standardization of a computer system, for use in all establishments of health, today installed in all the general hospitals of the health portfolio.

Likewise, through the cooperation ties between both nations, the efforts made by the National Government in the medical care provided to the population have been strengthened, an important collaboration to face the challenges of segmentation and fragmentation suffered by the health sector.

Also participating in the act were the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Julio César Arriola Ramírez; the Deputy Minister of Stewardship and Health Surveillance, Dr. Lida Sosa; the general director of International Relations of the Ministry of Health, Lic. Cecilia Irazusta, the technical advisor of the Cabinet, Abg. Gilda Espínola, among other authorities.
