The Congressman for Free Peru Kelly Portalatino ruled on the more than 20 complaints of violence against the new adviser to the Ministry of Health, the veterinarian William Cordova.
On this high command, as has been known, there are criminal accusations for alimony, violence against women, physical assault and even rape. His long history of complaints has led many groups to ask for his resignation.
In dialogue with RPP, Portalatino assured that he is waiting for the veracity of these accusations to be confirmed in order to request Córdova’s retirement.

“We are going to request that this information be investigated. If it is objective and truthful, I will request that it be removed from the Health portfolio”he pointed.
The parliamentarian, also a member of the Health Commission in Congress, said that the same party and government must be self-critical when appointing questionable people to positions of trust.
“We must be critical when hiring or appointing questioned people to positions of trustand worse if they are involved in violence against women, “he said.

On the other hand, the parliamentarian has supported the appointment of the minister Hernan Condori. As indicated, the Medical Association of Peru, an entity that requested the resignation of the head of Health, has now decided to evaluate Condori’s work by giving him the benefit of the doubt.
“Yesterday I have been in the Medical College of Peru and they have been objective, they respect the new Minister of Health and They will give you the benefit of the doubt to prove your ability.“, He said.
The congresswoman also assured that the Medical College will do an investigation about the videos of the new minister in which he promoted drugs without scientific evidence.
“They have an Ethics Committee that has compiled all the information so that an investigation process is carried out to determine if the version of some audios and videos is correct or inappropriate,” he said.
