Porno para Ricardo launches “Where is freedom in Cuba?”, with a video clip by Miguel Coyula

Porno para Ricardo, Cuba

MIAMI, United States. — Cuban rock group Porn for Ricardo recently released the video for Where is freedom in Cuba?a version of an iconic theme Where is the freedom?from the Argentine band Pappo´s Blues.

The audiovisual, directed by Cuban filmmaker Miguel Coyula, intersperses images of Porn for Ricardo with scenes of repression in Cuba. He also denounces the call to violence made by Cuban ruler Miguel Díaz-Canel during the protests on July 11, 2021.

The video was shared on the YouTube channel of the Center for the Opening and Development of Latin America (CADAL).

“Let it circulate throughout Cuba and release all the innocent people imprisoned by the dictatorship!” Said that organization after the launch of the theme.

where is the freedom

I never stop thinking

maybe they have it somewhere

What do we have to achieve?

I don’t think ever

yes, never

I don’t think ever

we have had such a bad time

It’s not possible

It is impossible

Endure

Where is the freedom?recorded in 1971 by the band led by guitarist and singer Norberto “Pappo” Napolitano (1950-2005), has already been covered by great figures of Latin American rock, including fellow Argentine singer-songwriter Luis Alberto Spinetta.
