Pope Francisco received to Elon Muskbusinessman and considered the richest person in the world, in a 40 minute private meeting at his residence in Casa Santa Marta, Vatican sources informed Télam.
The pontiff and the head of the Tesla electric car and SpaceX rocket companies, among others, reviewed general issues on Friday afternoon and exchanged views on the future of humanity and technology.
In the meeting, Francisco and Musk shared views on mutual concernssuch as the risk of the so-called “demographic winter” from the low birth rate in many countries and the need for regulations in the field of Artificial Intelligence, the sources added.
Musk was accompanied by four of his children, as seen in a photo that the also creator of the Neuralink firm uploaded to his social networks.
“Honored to have known the pontiff”wrote the businessman born in South Africa in his tweet to comment on the image in which he appears with Francisco and four of his children.
