The senator of Renovación Nacional (RN) and president of the Senate health commission, Francisco Chahuanfiled a criminal complaint against Codelco Division Ventanas for the cases of contamination that affected Quintero and Puchuncaví.
It should be remembered that during this Monday, at least 50 students and 25 educational workers with symptoms of intoxication were registered, being treated in Quintero care centers, this after reporting the concentration of sulfur dioxide in the Ventanas Division plant.

Under this line, Chahuán announced that he will file a criminal complaint against the company, added to a protection resource against the victims starting next Saturday together with social organizations from both communes, where the paralysis of the plant will be demanded until they are established. the new protocols to avoid these episodes.
Finally, he pointed out that he summoned the ministers of Health and Environment, in addition to the mayors of Quintero and Puchuncaví for a special session of the Senate’s health commission, which is chaired by Chahuán himself.
