The CEO of the National PoliceMajor General Eduardo Alberto Then, reiterated to the personnel under his command to refrain from retaining vehicles in circulation or parked with their sound equipment (music) turned off or with low volume.
Through a video posted on the social networks of the National Police the director of Strategic Communication and PN spokesman Diego Pesqueira reported that the instructions given by the director of the police to the police officers must be followed as long as the sound equipment of the vehicles is complying with the decibels established by law.
A press release from the Police indicates that Then warned the agents that it will remain vigilant to verify that the police personnel comply with the instructions regarding that they refrain from retaining the drivers of vehicles with music installed in cases where their equipment is turned off or with the volume according to the allowed decibels.
“We will be vigilant to correct through internal controls any action contrary to legal regulations and the instructions that we have given by police officers,” he said.
Major General Alberto Then recalled that he had already met with representatives of the Dominican Federation of Merchants and the Association of Entrepreneurs of the Musicto define several points, including actions that will allow loud sounds to be removed from residential areas, so as not to affect the tranquility of citizens.
