Conscious snacking is a new trend that leaves the guilt of eating a family chocolate bar alone in the past and invites snacking occasions to involve controlled portions and enjoying the moment with a “permissive indulgence” and within the framework of a balanced diet.
According to the most recent studies carried out by the leading snack company, in 2021, 88% of consumers said that a balanced diet includes a “small indulgence” and 79% acknowledge that their definition of a snack has evolved in the last three years. In this context, Martín Antola, who became president of Mondelez for Cono Sur, gave his vision on the subject and the peculiarities of Uruguayans in an interview with Café & Negocios.
