Police circulate an alleged femicide from Villa Reconciliación, Managua

The National Police is in search of the citizen Ramiro Jose Urbina Reyes38 years old, alleged femicide of Liseth Suarez Orozco34 years old, murdered in her home in the Villa Reconciliación neighborhood, District Six of Managua.

The police institution circulated the photo of the suspect this Sunday, October 30, and requested any information that could facilitate the capture or locate his whereabouts. At the moment, he has not provided any information about the crime.

The young woman was found dead on the morning of Saturday, October 29, inside her home. Neighbors affirm that the woman’s body was found by one of her three children, a 15-year-old teenager, who forced the door of her mother’s room when she noticed that her mother did not answer the calls.

It is presumed that Liseth Suárez was murdered the night before and locked in her room by the alleged femicide, who fled from Managua.

According to neighbors, Ramiro José Urbina he escaped taking with him their daughter, a two-year-old girl. Later, it was learned that she would have left her minor with relatives in Boaco. According to national media, the man has an extensive criminal history.

The Catholics for the Right to Decide organization registered 47 femicides up to September and 120 frustrated femicides in this same period. Five days ago, a new case of gender-based murder was registered: María Cristina Meza Flores, 28, was found dead in her house in a community in Siuna, with multiple signs of violence on her body. .

The regime’s spokeswoman, Rosario Murillo, announced that the government would publish a preventive booklet given the number of crimes against women, which has been classified as insufficient by feminist organizations.

The Network of Women Against Violence (RMCV Nicaragua) expressed “its outrage at the increase in sexist violence in any of its forms, until now without looking at concrete preventive actions, comprehensive and effective programs that provide women with protection and security” .
