Justice minimizes the electoral impact of police checkpoints on highways

The president of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), Alexandre de Moraes, affirmed this Sunday that the police checkpoints on various highways in the country in the middle of the voting have not prevented voters from exercising their right, even so, he guaranteed that they have already been suspended.

“In some cases, this delayed the arrival of the voters, but in no case did it prevent them from voting,” the magistrate declared at a press conference, referring to a complaint by the campaign of former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, favorite to win. this Sunday in front of President Jair Bolsonaro.

According to Lula’s campaign, these police checkpoints were mainly in the northeast of the country, the largest political stronghold of the progressive candidate, which was documented by numerous videos that circulated on social networks.
