Santo Domingo.- A total of 1,387 boys, girls and adolescents were part of the 6th investiture as Community Youth Police, after exhausting a training process for several months in basic rights, military discipline, values and duties, in addition to being oriented in different areas so that they do not fall into the margins of juvenile delinquency that affects our sectors so much.
The young people were invested in a solemn act, headed by the director general of the National Police, Major General Eduardo Alberto Then, who said that each of the children and adolescents graduating today were instructed in the knowledge of the Dominican Constitution. , caution about teenage pregnancy, Leadership, prevention and damage caused by the use of narcotics (drugs), traffic laws, among others.
Likewise, Major General Alberto Then presented several diplomas, medals and electronic devices to the outstanding graduates in different areas.

In the activity, the director of the Community Police, Colonel Frank de los Santos Encarnación, stated that the objective of this institutional dependency, together with the Police, is to train human beings with quality, skills and abilities, also capable for a better society, attached to ethical and moral principles for the benefit of their family environment and the nation.
“Graduating, we place the responsibility on you to make a difference in our society, putting into practice the values learned in your homes and reinforced during your training,” said Colonel De los Santos Encarnación.
He stressed that this program instructed in preventive, cultural, educational, sports and recreational activities, where young people begin to identify with the order, good development and well-being of their communities, in addition to thanking the support of government authorities and the business sector. where these training and disciplinary actions have been developed in favor of young people.

In the same area, the director of the Strategic and Special Projects of the Presidency (Propeep), Neney Cabrera, highlighted the importance of this educational and training program, as well as the work carried out by the National Police, to maintain good statistics in the fight against crime and this program is a point in favor.
The Community Police Directorate is a dependency of the National Police that emphasizes the importance of peaceful coexistence where young people play a key role when they acquire the knowledge provided by our facilitators in the “Community Youth Police.”
