A plane with Bolivian registrationa crashed in Argentina with more than 300 kilos of cocaine, this Tuesday. The Police seized the drug, but did not find the whereabouts of the occupants, because they fled.
According to police reports, the Cessna-type aircraft, with license plate CP-3123, crashed ashore in a rural area from the town of Avia Terai, which belongs to the Argentine Chaco province.
The plane was overturned and was found by the police this Tuesday afternoon. It had a rectangular box of green color, in which cHe contained the drug packages in the form of breadsas reported by Diario Chaco of Argentina.
“The shipment would be more than 300 kilos of cocaine (…) It fell five kilometers north of the urban area and of National Route No. 6, near an elementary school on the outskirts, in Campo La Aurora,” commissioner Javier Miers told Diario Chaco.
Miers confirmed that the aircraft’s registration is Bolivian and said that its final destination is being investigated. Likewise, he indicated that, according to preliminary investigations, the plane crash it occurred due to an alleged malfunction technical.
The community members of the area informed the police that, after the plane crash, two white vans arrived at the scene and fledapparently with the occupants.
