For the Minister of the Social Process of Labor, Eduardo Piñate, in the Venezuelan historical context “on January 23, the people were betrayed by a bourgeois and oligarchic elite.” which later formed the parties of the Punto Fijo pact, he said.
The head of Labor, who toured the streets of the Venezuelan capital to commemorate “the civil-military rebellion” against General Marcos Pérez Jiménez in 1958, asserted that “all of them were pro-imperialists who established a regime, that was a regime, which had three crimes; “the crime of handing over the country to transnational companies, widespread administrative corruption and repression against our people.”
Instead, he noted that today and yesterday, “we started with Commander Chávez and developed a project of liberation and emancipation of sovereignty and independence and of comprehensive development of the country.” He assured that now, “there has been no betrayal and that is why it is a concrete project that makes a profound revolution.”
He highlighted that they have a “set of strengths, power in the first place, a brave, firm president and a collective revolutionary political leadership that Chávez formed.”
For her part, the mayor of Caracas, and vice president of Regional and Municipal Affairs of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, Carmen Meléndez, assured that “the Bolivarian National Armed Forces and the citizen security bodies are preparing to defend the homeland, through the implementation of the Bolivarian Shield Exercise 2025.”
“With the Bolivarian Shield Exercise 2025 we have proven what we have at the time of a threat and that we have to defend our homeland. We have a happy, content people, who took to the streets with a lot of patriotism for this exercise. “We are preparing to defend our territory in all corners of the country,” said Meléndez.
