As of today (18), registration is open for yet another edition of the Petrobras Young Apprentice Program (PPJA), which aims to train teenagers and young people.
The 734 vacancies are distributed in municipalities in 14 states and the Federal District: Maceió; Manaus; Savior; Alagoinhas (BA); Strength; Brasilia; Victory; Juiz de Fora (MG); Três Lagoas (MS); Ipojuca (PE); Campo Largo (PR); Rio de Janeiro; Macaé (RJ); Duque de Caxias (RJ); São Gonçalo (RJ); Nova Iguaçu (RJ); Christmas; Canoes (RS); Aracaju; Sao Paulo; Paulínia (SP); Mauá (SP); Cubatao (SP); Santos (SP); and São José dos Campos (SP).
“The objective of the PPJA is to promote the social inclusion of apprentices through professional qualification and contribute to their insertion in the job market”, said, in a note, the executive manager of Human Resources at Petroras, Juliano Mesquita Loureiro.
According to Petrobras, in addition to the vacancies already reserved for people with disabilities and teenagers who have left child labor in previous programs, a novelty in this cycle is that teenagers in institutional care, such as a home, shelter, halfway house and inclusive residence, will have a 15% quota of vacancies offered.
The program offers professional courses by Senai in each region in the areas of logistics assistant, administrative assistant, boilermaker assistant, production line assistant, industrial electrician, building electrician, plumber, plumber, building fuel gas pipelines, pump mechanic, engines, compressors and transmission equipment, maintenance mechanic, industrial mechanic, information technology technical support operator, WEB programmer and welder.
All students who have not completed high school must prove enrollment and attendance in their respective grades at the time of admission. Those approved in the recruitment and selection process will work 4 hours a day, from Monday to Friday, for a period of 20 months and will be entitled to a minimum wage and other benefits, such as 13th salary, vacations, -transportation and optional supplementary pension plan.
In addition to training classes and professional practice activities at Senai, they will also be able to make technical visits to Petrobras facilities.

To participate in the program, it is necessary to be between 14 years old and 22 years and three months old, not applying the maximum age foreseen for candidates with disabilities, and be studying from the 7th year of elementary school or have completed high school, as criteria of the offered course and other requirements established in the public notice.
