Perumin 35, the Convention mining The most important in Latin America and one of the most important in the world, is now ready to open its doors to convention attendees, authorities, academics, businessmen and the general public, from Monday 26 to Friday 30 September, at the Centro of Conventions Cerro Juli, in Arequipa.
This edition expects to receive approximately 50,000 attendees and generate an economic injection of S/80 million for the region. Given this, there was a total of 100 companies and more than 500 workers, who have been part of the execution of different spaces for the Convention. In addition, during the event, there will be the deployment of more than 800 public and private organizations.
Likewise, and due to the large influx of people who will attend the Mining Convention, an alliance has been established with more than 30 hotels and lodgings, and more than 300 flights to the White City have been enabled.
“We are in the countdown to PERUMIN 35. This event is quite an event for the country, for the sector and for Arequipa. We are excited to make this event a reality, which will showcase the potential of Peruvian mining before the eyes of the world, and knowledge of modern and sustainable mining can be analyzed and disseminated in order to reach consensus for the development of the country.”, said Claudia Cooper, president of PERUMIN 35.
PERUMIN 35 will be a trilingual convention, with simultaneous translations of the conferences in English, Spanish and Quechua. In addition, it will have a program of activities dedicated to analyzing the role of women in the mining industry and work agendas dedicated to the energy sector. Likewise, it will have the participation of 600 volunteer university students from different universities in Peru.
“This edition will be zero carbon neutral and will have the participation of more than 200 industry professionals to exchange experiences and knowledge through the TIS Forum. In addition, the latest in technological innovations related to mining will be presented at the Extemin fair, which will have 1,400 exhibition stands.Cooper added.
Along the same lines, the winners of the PERUMIN Inspira, PERUMIN Hub, National Mining Award and Mining School Award programs and awards will also be chosen and presented.
This event, carried out by the Institute of Mining Engineers of Peru (IIMP), has as its motto “Building together a better Peru”, with which it seeks to highlight the relevance of the mining industry in the development of the country and promote a constructive dialogue and open to enhance the impact of mining on the well-being of the population.
