Peru declared health alert for monkeypox

The Minister of Health of PeruJorge López Peña, in the middle of a press conferencedeclared the health alert for monkeypoxdue to the infections that have occurred in various parts of the world.

“We are declaring the health alert, it will be in force from tomorrow, Friday, but it is already being declared itself. In our country we still do not have any cases, but yes, the alert is already being declared to prevent any eventuality, “said the Minister of Health.

Jorge López Peña explained that with the alert you must “be careful” and be monitoring the population. In addition, he indicated that the purchase of the monkeypox vaccine is not yet being evaluated.
