PDVSA adds six tankers to the fleet of units to distribute fuel

The Vice President of Commerce and Supply of PDVSA, Juan Diazexplained that “the transports were made of carbon steel and have a capacity of 37 thousand liters distributed in three compartments


The president of Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA), Pedro Tellecheareported that through the National Transport Companythe state company acquired six nationally manufactured fuel tankers to distribute fuel throughout the country.

According to Tellechea, these first six vehicles are the first phase because, he assured, in March of this year PDVSA expects to add another batch of six more tanks. He highlighted that the company Carrocerías El Teide, located in Tocuyo, Lara state, was in charge of the assembly process of this first delivery.

For his part, the Vice President of Commerce and Supply, Juan Diazexplained that “the transports were manufactured with carbon steel and have a capacity of 37 thousand liters distributed in three compartments and are part of the policies undertaken by the industry, in order to develop joint work with national companies to substitute imports”.

These units will be incorporated into Pdvsa’s heavy fleet to go from the distribution plants to the service stations, power plants, ports and airports of Pdvsa and Pequiven.

On January 6, President Nicolás Maduro designated as president of Pdvsa to colonel Pedro Rafael Tellechea, replacing Asdrúbal Chávez. Tellechea held the position of president of Pequiven since June 2018. According to Maduro, this new appointment will help “consolidate the momentum of the oil industry.”
