“New anti-democratic maneuver in Venezuela: Group of mercenaries at the service of the Government-PSUV is preparing to request -in the next few hours- the Supreme Court of Justice, the illegal intervention of the Communist Party of Venezuela”, denounced the Communist Party of Venezuela (PCV ) through his account on the social network Twitter
The Communist Party of Venezuela (PCV) warned that officials of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) will request “in the next few hours” from the Supreme Court of Justice the “illegal” intervention of the organization for political purposes.
The complaint was made by the party in the afternoon of July 9 through its account on the social network Twitter. “New anti-democratic maneuver in Venezuela: Group of mercenaries at the service of the Government-PSUV is preparing to request -in the next few hours- the Supreme Court of Justice, the illegal intervention of the Communist Party of Venezuela,” wrote the PCV.
Since last year, the PCV political bureau has denounced that the Maduro government wants to take the party by storm. The General Secretary of the Communist Party of Venezuela (CVP), Oscar Figuera, denounced on May 22 that the Maduro administration encouraged a “false positive” against that political awning Sunday 21 in order to make the internal processes in the party unknown.
Figuera warned that an alleged “extraordinary” congress of the PCV bases was held over the weekend to promote the intervention of the “red rooster” party by the PSUV and hand it over, as has happened on other occasions, to people who agree with their ideology.
In this sense, the also deputy of the National Assembly elected in 2020 recalled that in 2018 a “commitment” had been demanded from Maduro and an agreement was signed, which was not fulfilled.
The PCV has separated from the ruling party. On repeated occasions, party leaders have affirmed that Maduro’s leadership is far from socialism, former President Hugo Chávez promised.
The most recent claim of the PCV against Maduro’s policies was last week, after the 15-year disqualification of the national leader of the Vente Venezuela party, María Corina Machado, was announced.
He affirmed that Maduro uses political disqualification through administrative means as an instrument to annul actors and organizations that are not aligned with his interests. Yul Jabour, a member of the political bureau, recalled that the PCV has already been a victim of state attacks.
This July 4 at a press conference, Jabour reiterated that political disqualification “does a disservice to democracy” and that its practice “violates the rights of political actors and organizations.” On behalf of the PCV, he denounced the demagogic use of article 105 of the Organic Law of the Comptroller General of the Republic.
