The provinces of Chubut, Neuquén, Río Negro, Santa Cruz and Tierra del Fuego are under alert for rain, snowfall and winds that could reach a speed of between 50 and 70 kilometers per hour with gusts of up to 90 kilometers per hour, reported the Service National Meteorological (SMN).

In the departments of chubut of Gastre, Paso de Indios and the west of Mártires and Telsen, the alert for strong winds prevails, while in the plateaus of Cushamen, Futaleufú, Languiñeo and Tehuelches intense snowfalls and abundant rains are expected with accumulated values ​​that can reach between 40 and 70 millimeters.

Meanwhile, the lower areas of Huiliches, Lácar and Aluminé, Catán Lil, Collón Curá and Zapala, in Neuquenare under yellow alert due to strong winds and the SMN recommended that residents avoid outdoor activities and secure items that can fly.

In the south of said province, the department of Los Lagos – where the towns of Villa La Angostura and Villa Traful stand out – is on orange alert due to intense rains and snowfall is also expected that can reach accumulated values ​​of between 20 and 40 centimeters. .

In Black riverthe meteorological agency issued a yellow alert due to strong winds for the Pilcaniyeu and Ñorquincó plateaus, Nueve de Julio, the west of El Cuy and Veinticinco de Mayo, while in Bariloche and the mountainous areas of Pilcaniyeu and Ñorquincó an orange alert is in force due to Abundant rains and snowfall is also expected to continue.

Finally, the plateau of Deseado and Magallanes, in Santa Cruz, and the non-coastal areas of Río Grande and Ushuaia, as well as the Malvinas Islands, are under yellow alert due to strong winds.
