Passengers get the scare of their lives when the van they were traveling in overturns

A minivan that departed yesterday afternoon from Pichanaqui to Huancayo and with fifteen people on board, lost its way and overturned to one side of the track, leaving two people injured. The accident occurred at km 26 of the Tarma Jauja highway, Lomo Largo sector, in the district of Acolla, Jauja, involving the rural truck with license plate F6P 951, belonging to the company Explots Trans Express, which was driven by Mario Cent Perez.

The mishap occurred in the middle of the pine forest planted about thirty years ago. Several older adults, mothers and even children who were trapped inside the unit were rescued with the support of some carriers.

According to some witnesses, the occupants of the damaged vehicle had to be helped by the windows, the same ones that were broken from the outside and inside to fulfill the purpose. While that was taking place, the desperate cries of the passengers, especially the children, did not wait.

Thanks, no fatalities were recorded, the injured had minor injuries and most of them suffered a severe scare.

The Acolla Highway Police were mobilized to the place, who proceeded with the intervention of the driver to be subjected to investigations according to law.

Between Jauja and Tarma there is an approximate distance of 50 km. The track that connects both provinces is in optimal conditions, which adds to the excess of confidence of the drivers who use this route. However, accidents in this section (Lomo Largo) are the order of the day.
