Paraguayan Senate requests the intervention of the OAS and the release of Jeanine Añez

The Paraguayan Senate, through a statement, requested the intervention of the Organization of American States (OAS) in the process that follows former president Jeanine Añez. Likewise, the same legislative instance asks its Executive to intervene for the release of the former Bolivian president.

Former president Jeanine Áñez thanked the declaration 425 of the Paraguayan Chamber of Senators, through a tweet, in which she attached the legislative document. This expresses, clearly, his solidarity and urges his National Executive to request the intervention of the OAS in the case, in addition to requesting his release.

Chamber of Senators, in which he expresses his solidarity with the former President of Bolivia and urges the Executive Branch to request her release. #LiberenAJeanine”, reads the post on Twitter by former president Jeanine Áñez Chávez.

The Paraguayan legislative document “expresses its solidarity with the former president of Bolivia, Jeanine Añez Chávez, and urges the Executive Branch, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to request her release“.

The declaration, made up of three articles, indicates in the first its solidarity with the former president “because of the violation of her human rights.”

The second article says: “Urge the Executive Branch via the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to request the intervention of the Organization of American States, given the worrying events that have occurred in the sister Republic of Bolivia.”

The third refers to the terms of the protocol and in the footer indicates the date on which it was developed. the session, on August 11 this year.
