Panamanian baritone Ricardo Velásquez returns to the stage, after two years of absence

On December 5, at the National Theater, the Panamanian baritone Ricardo “Richy” Velásquez will perform to honor all the mothers of the country.

With this presentation, the singer returns to the stage after two years absent due to the pandemic. “We have encouraged ourselves to continue moving forward and on December 5 we will make mother smile on her day,” he stressed.

Velásquez revealed that he ventured into the “classical crossover” genre, which has been ballads and boleros, but mixed with a slightly impossive voice.

He added that the first song based on this new genre was recorded in Slovakia with a symphony orchestra. “It is a mixture of popular music and the song is called ‘Sin tí'”, he remarked.

He announced that for this tribute to mothers he will have a repertoire from Italian music to ballads and boleros most recognized of all time, such as Luis Miguel, José Perales, José José, from Manzanero and there will be a tribute to the late Panamanian singer, Horacio Valdes. In addition, it will have the presence of invited artists.
