Panama reports 4,105 new positive cases, 8 deaths and 40 patients in ICU due to Covid-19

The Ministry of Health in its epidemiological report for this Tuesday, January 11, counts 4,105 new positive cases, for a cumulative total of 533,559.

In the last 24 hours, 8 deaths were registered, raising the figure to 7,479 deaths with a fatality of 1.4%

Meanwhile, 16,502 new tests were applied for a positivity of 25%.

Active cases total 34,013, of which 33,175 are in home isolation, and 459 in hospital hotels.

There are 339 hospitalized patients and 40 patients in the Intensive Care Unit.

The Ministry of Health reminds the population not to lower their guard and to continue applying biosecurity measures, such as the use of a mask, alcohol gel, facial screen in public passenger transport, hand washing, physical distancing and use of alcohol.
