Panama reports 268 positive cases, 0 deaths and 20 patients in ICU due to Covid-19

The number of infections by Covid -19 for this Friday, December 3, counts 268 positive cases, for a cumulative total of 478,543

Fortunately, no deaths were recorded today, maintaining a cumulative 7,371 deaths with a fatality of 1.5%.

In the last 24 hours, 6,680 tests were applied for a positivity of 4%.

Active cases total 2,756, of which 2,565 are in home isolation and 80 in hospital hotels.

There are 91 hospitalized patients of which 20 are in the ICU.

The Minister of Health, Luis Francisco Sucre, reiterated the call to the population that during this month of December, which are celebrated several festivities, not to lower their guard, maintain biosecurity measures and go to be vaccinated to complete the complete scheme against Covid-19.

Sucre warned the population that December last year cannot happen when after the celebrations there was a considerable increase in infections and deaths, forcing a quarantine to be applied.

The minister was categorical in pointing out that Christmas parades are prohibited to celebrate in streets and avenues, since in this type of activity there is no way to control the entry of vaccinated and unvaccinated or compliance with biosecurity measures.
