The National Executive Committee (CEN) of the PAN ignored the appointment of Sergio Solomon as the new Governor of Puebla, after the sudden Death of President Miguel Barbosa Huertaand announced that they will call their local deputies who voted in favor of the new appointment to account.
In a statement, the PAN CEN indicated that it does not endorse the “hasty and shameful compromise to appoint an internal governor of Puebla.” He questioned that Miguel Barbosa had not yet been buried when the deputies of the local Congress “shared power, when there were 30 days for the appointment of the interim”.
“The National Executive Committee of the PAN does not endorse the hasty and shameful compromise of the local deputies to name the interim governor among themselves, surely making unspeakable agreements,” he stressed.
National Action questioned that the appointment was made in the “dark” and without a minimum agenda of public commitments.
The legislators of the PAN parliamentary group who voted in favor must report and be accountable to the corresponding bodies in the party and to the public,” he said.
