The Public Ministry of Nicaragua, controlled by the regime of Daniel Ortega and Rosario Murillo, accuses the Sandinista militant Marlon Gerardo Sáenz, better known as “Chino Enoc”, of three crimes related to “drug trafficking”, who has been imprisoned since May 18.
The team of Article 66 had access to the judicial identification card of “Chino Enoc”, with number 011973-ORM4-2022-PN, where it is stated that he was charged with the crimes of “illegal transportation of narcotic drugs, psychotropic drugs and other controlled substances; illegal carrying or possession of firearms or ammunition; and manufacturing, trafficking, possession and use of restricted weapons, explosive substances or devices.
It is worth mentioning that in the first instance it was known that the Ortega-Murillo regime had presented a formal accusation against the Sandinista militant, however, in the system of causes of the Judicial Power they did not specify the nature of the crime for which they are prosecuting him.
Marlon Gerardo Sáenz, originally from the municipality of Condega, would have been arrested by the Ortega Police on May 18, sources close to the ex-combatant and critic of Rosario Murillo, designated vice president, reported to La Prensa.
According to the complaint, at around nine o’clock on Wednesday morning, a group of police agents arrived at the home of the Sandinista militant and took him to the Estelí Judicial Complex, however, hours later he was taken to the cells of the Directorate Judicial Assistance (DAJ), known as “El Nuevo Chipote”.
In the case system, the former Sandinista combatant was accused, along with the Nicaraguan Franklin Amador Salgado, for crimes against public health and public security in Nicaragua. The Ortega prosecutor Alicia Solís was in charge of presenting the accusation against Chino Enoch. The case will be processed in the fifth criminal court with Judge Nalia Nadezha Úbeda Obando, the same court that will handle the case of the political prisoner Yubrank Suazo.
The Chinese Enoc is a sympathizer of the Sandinista National Liberation Front (FSLN) who has sworn allegiance to the dictator Daniel Ortega, however on different occasions he has criticized and shown his rejection of Murillo, whom he accuses of being a “usurper” who has stolen the Sandinista party.
On May 16, Chino Enoch had denounced on his social networks the siege by the Ortega Police, to the point that they would not even let him leave his house, so at that time he was declared a prisoner under the arrest regime. domicile
“That is not protection, that is keeping me in jail (…) They are supposedly complying with the order to protect me, but they are also complying with the order not to let me leave the house. What is that called? Violation of my rights of mobilization, of transit through the country », he denounced at that time, through social networks.
