Tareck William Saab, Venezuelan attorney general, reported that “the Public Ministry appointed prosecutor 60 with jurisdiction over common crimes to investigate and punish acts of violence committed by a citizen who, carrying a firearm, threatened the president of the condominium where you reside.”
The case referred to by the prosecutor was exposed via twitter by the attacked citizen through two videos in which an armed subject is seen, who, while recording him threatening him with a firearm, identifies him as General Raúl Lugo. In a second video, the alleged soldier is seen lying on the ground with a leg wound.
In the first video, the attacker throws a bar at the person recording it and demands that they stop doing it, then he goes to his vehicle where he takes out a gun and points it at the man saying “I’m going to kill you and your daughter.” .
The man filming notes “General Lugo attacking me, and now I’m coming down to attack me,” after which the armed man approaches him violently and repeats “forget about us” several times while the man who is filming asks him to put down his weapon and tells him He assures that the police will go looking for him.
“Let me go Raúl” repeats the filmmaker while the armed man pushes him and constantly reiterates “forget about us”, with these two pieces of information it can be inferred that the armed subject is, presumably, a general and his name is Raúl Lugo.
Subsequent messages on Twitter and other networks indicate the identity of the attacker and that he belongs to the Army, however the prosecutor refers only to “a citizen.”
The videos
In the videos it can be seen that, while the one who records goes back; whom William Saab identifies as the president of the aggressor’s residence, a dog (apparently the victim’s) appears at which the armed subject points his pistol; That is the image that accompanies the prosecutor’s tweet.
Meanwhile, the filmer asks not to shoot the dog.
Finally, the armed man yells at him “don’t touch me, don’t push me… Lie over there” and the video cuts off.
In the second audiovisual material, the armed man is seen lying on the floor with a leg wound while he continues to repeat “forget about us” while the filmmaker tells him “there are laws here, Raúl”, to which the man lying on the ground He asks whoever records it if he complies with the laws.
The @estendenciavzl account collects the three tweets and refers to the versions, which are read in other accounts and other networks, according to which the wound was accidentally self-inflicted and that the alleged Raúl Lugo, as identified by whoever records his attacker, has the rank of brigadier general and belongs to the Army.
All this material was a trend on Twitter with the hashtag #ElValle, in reference to the Caracas parish where the events occurred.
The versions in the networks indicate that the altercation occurred on December 29, that the wound that, during the second video, can be seen on the leg of the armed man, was produced by himself with his own gun when he accidentally fired it and that the subject he was under the influence of some drug, they also indicate the presumed identity of the victim, who recorded the audiovisual materials, as Valmore Alcalá.
