Operational factors represent obstacles for the Nuevo León industry: Caintra

Monterey, NL. Operational factors such as transport logistics and staff shortage trained have been growing obstacles for companies, with 35% and 31%, respectively, according to the survey of Economic Expectations of Manufacturing, carried out by the Chamber of the Transformation Industry of Nuevo León (Caintra).

The shortage of trained personnel reached the highest figure since May 2017. This factor has been presented by the economic revival and by the companies’ need for well-trained technical personnel and operators for the dynamics of the industry.

For example, with the fast digitization of the industrial sectorone of the most critical factors is that the staff is well trained to avoid a vulnerability in information technology.

On the other hand, the percentage of companies that consider transportation logistics to be an obstacle has been the highest in the history of this variable. Caintra has made this measurement since 2013.

The situation coincides with the disruption in the transport of goods, as well as with the implementation of the regulation of the CFDI with complement consignment notewhich must be generated by the transfer operations or by the transport services of goods or merchandise that are carried out within the national territory.

“That is why we ask the federal authority to offer technical training programs for workers in the industrial sector, as well as strengthen technical education and dual training so that young people who join the industry have the necessary skills.”

“In the same way, it is necessary for the authority to listen to the business sector to resolve the difficulties they have faced since the implementation of the CFDI with a Carta Porte complement, during this period of exemption from sanctions,” the agency concluded.
