Artists will perform a virtual concert in solidarity with the political prisoners of Nicaragua

The Sé Humano platform announced that a virtual concert will be held on June 4 in “solidarity with the political prisoners of Nicaragua and their families.”

“I was born to be free”, is the title of the artistic event planned for this weekend, where Nicaraguan singer-songwriters such as Ceshia Ubau, Mario Ruiz and Nakury will be participating in the event.

Likewise, artists and personalities from around the world will join the virtual concert with messages of solidarity for the hostages of the dictatorship. Among them are: the Uruguayan singer Jorge Drexler; the NBA player, Enes Freedom; the Spanish singer Pedro Guerra, the director for the Americas of Amnesty International, Erika Guevara Rosas; and the Nicaraguan opponent and national baseball star Denis Martínez.

“I was born to be free” will be broadcast on the page of Facebook of Be Human this coming Saturday at 7 pm, local time in Nicaragua.

According to the latest report of the Mechanism for the Recognition of Political Prisoners, the Ortega dictatorship keeps 182 Nicaraguans deprived of their liberty for exercising their right to protest and demanding justice and democracy for their country.

The Sé Humano platform was born with the aim of demanding that Daniel Ortega’s regime respect the lives of Nicaragua’s political prisoners. They also denounce arbitrary arrests and request humane treatment for prisoners of conscience.
