When asked “If the runoff were decided between Alvaro Delgado and Yamandú Orsi, who would you vote for?”, 50% responded that they would vote for Orsi, 38% for Delgado, 7% would vote blank or spoiled, and 5% remained undecided.
According to the historical series of voting intentions for the runoff, in the February 2024 survey, Orsi reached 44%, Delgado also had 44%, and 12% were undecided.
In the April survey, Orsi rose to 48%, while Delgado remained at 44%, and 9% were undecided.
In May, the survey revealed that Orsi maintained his 48%, Delgado rose to 45%, and the percentage of permanent employees fell by one point.
In the latest survey, Orsi reached 50%, Delgado dropped to 38%, and the number of permanent employees rose again to 12%.
Compared to the 2019 elections, in the same instance, 39% expressed their intention to vote for Daniel Martínez (the then candidate of the Frente Amplio), 51% for Luis Lacalle Pou (candidate of the National Party), and 10% were undecided.
The survey also looked at voting intentions in the runoff based on voting intentions in the first round.
Among those who will vote for the FA in the national elections, 95% say they would vote for Orsi in a possible runoff, 3% would vote for Delgado, and 2% are undecided.
Among those who say they will vote for the National Party in October, only 1% would change their vote in November, 96% would vote for Delgado, and 3% are undecided.
Of the voters of the parties that make up the current government coalition, 22% would support Orsi in the runoff, 37% would support Delgado, and 11% are undecided.
In conclusion, the study reveals that among voters of other parties, 30% would support Orsi in November, 24% would vote for Delgado, and 46% are undecided.
