The overturning of a bus belonging to the Unión Barinas line unfortunately left a 60-year-old woman dead and 12 injured
The event occurred at 3:40 in the morning this Thursday, on the José Antonio Páez highway, near the Florentino Genetic Center, in the town of Barrancas, Cruz Paredes municipality in the state of Barinas.
Rescue agency officials reported that the unit covered the Mérida-Barquisimeto route and was transporting 16 passengers.
According to the police report, the fatal victim was identified as Gladys Fidelia de los Santos Cedeño, 60 years old, who died at the scene.
Among the injured are: Jesús Ocanto, Carlos Contreras, Coromoto Valverde, Ángel Alvarado, Consuelo Guerrero, Milfre Peña, Antonio Hoyer, Johan Ramírez, Yohander Ramírez and two children aged four and five.
Civil Protection Commissions and the Fire Department transferred the injured to the Thelmo Moreno hospitals, in Barrancas, and the Dr. Luis Razetti hospitals in Barinas.
Members of the National Police are investigating the case to establish the causes that caused the accident.
