Normalists, teachers and NGOs from eight states join the cry for justice

Eight years after the disappearance of the 43 students from the Normal Rural Isidro Burgos de Ayotzinapa, normalistas from Chihuahua, Jalisco, Aguascalientes, Michoacán and Oaxaca, as well as teachers and civil organizations from Guerrero, Chiapas and Morelos, marched yesterday in solidarity with the parents of the young people whose whereabouts have been unknown since September 26, 2014 and to demand that the authorities present them alive.

In Guadalajara, Jalisco, at least 300 people, mostly students from the Normal Rural de Atequiza, asked the federal government to clarify what happened and punish those responsible; In another act, groups of relatives of disappeared persons demonstrated to remember the normal students from Guerrero.

Nearly 250 students from the Justo Sierra Méndez Rural Normal School, in Aguascalientes, marched from Highway 45 north, in front of the Altaria shopping center, to Plaza de la Patria, in front of the government palace, where they held a cultural festival.

Meanwhile, women students from the Ricardo Flores Magón Rural Normal, in the municipality of Saucillo, Chihuahua, distributed flyers and performed a stage performance.

Students from the 11 normal schools in Oaxaca, as well as various social organizations, took to the streets to demand the presentation of the 43 alive; accused the government of Enrique Peña Nieto and the Army of Crimes against humanity. Likewise, in the streets of the state capital, members of the State Normalist Student Coordinator marched.

In Morelia, students from the eight normal schools in Michoacán walked from the Pátzcuaro exit to the government palace, where they held a rally to demand justice; They also painted shops, public buildings and public transport units.

More than 400 members of the United Front of Public Normal Schools of the State of Guerrero gathered in front of the Antimonument, in Chilpancingo, where they placed 43 candles representing hoping to find them alive and white flowers; From there, they walked to the city’s main square.

In Acapulco, members of the Front for Education, Democracy and the Guerrero Institutionality marched from the psychology school to the municipal palace, in solidarity with the parents of the 43. Meanwhile, students from the Higher School of Physical Education demonstrated in the Anti-monument.

With the same request, teachers from Section 7 of the National Union of Education Workers, attached to the National Coordinator of Education Workers, protested yesterday in various regions of Chiapas.

Eight years after this crime against humanity we continue to demand that the students appear alive and that justice be done; that those responsible materially and intellectually be punishedaffirmed the teacher leader Javier Vidal.

Meanwhile, in Cuernavaca, Morelos, some 150 citizens marched from the El Calvario church to the city’s main square.
