The President of the Republic, Nicolas Maduroinstructed to support the communities during the electoral campaigns of the communal Judges of the Peace that begin next Wednesday, December 4.
“Let the candidates go to a street, an alley, a staircase, to a building, let people know them and generate an information synergy that commits them to community peace justice,” said the first national leader this Monday during the broadcast No. 69 of his program With Maduro +.
The president called prepare for the elections on December 15, which marks 25 years since the approval of the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. “The best way to celebrate it is with the popular vote creating the Justice of Peace,” he pointed out.
For his part, the Minister of Communes, Ángel Prado, explained that in the country there are currently 5,297 Communal Circuits and 4,840 are going to elections for Judges of the Peace. He added that 353 indigenous communities will also participate in the process with their ancestral methods.
Prado also reported that there are 52 thousand candidates for the elections of Justices of the Peace that will be held on December 15, in which 15 thousand principals and an equal number of substitutes will be elected.
“They will report to the Citizens’ Assemblies every six months on the cases they have addressed during their three-year period,” he said.
Likewise, the vice president of organization of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, Pedro Infante, reported that the National Electoral Council (CNE) is preparing the electoral cards that will be in each voting center so that people know all the candidates by name and surname. .
“On December 4, the electoral campaign formally began in the 4,840 Communal Circuits for ten days,” he specified.
“With this extraordinary and historic election we are giving the power of justice to our people. Justice of Peace is to democratize justice and give our people the capacity to address and resolve conflicts in the territories,” he highlighted.
