Some 1,690 gas canisters used as improvised explosive devices were deactivated by officers of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces in Apure, as part of Operation “Vuelvan Caras 2022”, carried out in the plains territory.
The information was reviewed by the Operational Strategic Commander of the FANB, GJ Domingo Hernández Lárez through his Twitter account @dhernandezlarez, in which he added that these improvised mines were placed by the TANCOL groups that intend to undermine the tranquility of the population.
Similarly, it reported that 42 aircraft were disabled for violation of Venezuelan National Sovereignty during the year, in Operations “Bolivarian Shield 2022”.
Operation “Bolivarian Shield 2022” is made up of four action fronts for the defense of territorial integrity: Operation Vuelvan Caracas, Cacique Murachí, Relámpago del Catatumbo and Cacique Manaure.
The central mission of the operation is to free all border spaces with Colombia; of the Colombian Armed Terrorist Drug Trafficking groups (Tancol).
