The Minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) Alexandre de Moraes authorized today (7) the visit of five federal deputies to the prisoners who are investigated for their participation in the anti-democratic acts of January 8.Moraes authorizes visits by deputies to prisoners on January 8

With the decision, deputies Sanderson (PL-RS), Hélio Lopes (PL-RJ), Marcel Van Hatten (Novo-RS), Coronel Telhada (PP-SP) and Nikolas Ferreira (PL-MG) will be able to see the conditions of prisons of Papuda and the Feminine Penitentiary of Colmeia, both in the Federal District.

So far, of the 1,400 people arrested after the attacks, around 800 are still being held.

Yesterday (6), Moraes and the President of the Supreme Court, Minister Rosa Weber, also visited the prisons.

Two weeks ago, another group of parliamentarians met with the president and the minister to ask for the release of prisoners who had not participated in the depredation of the headquarters of the court, the Congress and the Planalto Palace.

Accused of financing the acts, 54 individuals, three companies, an association and a union have already had assets blocked at the request of the Attorney General’s Office (AGU). The body charges BRL 100 million in collective moral damages, in addition to BRL 20 million in material damages for the losses.
