The Public Ministry reported this Sunday that a raid, seizure and arrest operation is being carried out on 16 alleged members of a criminal organization dedicated to promoting the illegal entry of applicants to the National University of Moquegua.
According to the authorities, these unscrupulous people acted “in exchange for financial gifts”.
It was reported that the measure is in charge of the prosecutor Luis Ortiz Ticona, of the Moquegua Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, and is carried out in 32 properties in Moguegua, Arequipa, Cusco and Lima.
41 prosecutors and a contingent of members of the Anti-Corruption Police participate in the operation.

The Public Ministry also reported that the court order authorizing this operation includes two members of the Central Admissions Commission of this university.
All defendants are investigated by criminal organization, generic falsehood, influence peddling, generic active bribery and proper and improper passive bribery.
According to Canal N, the members of this organization recruited young applicants from Moquegua and Ilo, to whom they dictated the answers in the middle of the admission exam, using electronic devices such as microphones, cameras and headphones.
According to the media, for this the parents made payments between 6 thousand and 10 thousand soles, depending on the chosen university career.
