Miriam appoints prosecutors to investigate Janel Ramírez

The Attorney General of the Republic, Miriam Germán Brito, appointed Deputy Attorneys General Fernando Quezada García and Isis de la Cruz Duarte to investigate the complaint of sexual harassment against the president of the Chamber of Accounts, Janel Ramirez Sánchez, who are made by two lawyers employed by that supervisory body.

The lawyers Bella Massiel García Paulino and Virginia Ofelia Correa Jiménez, “acting on their own” and represented by eight other lawyers, made the formal complaint last Friday before Germán Brito and the deputy attorney Yeni Berenice Reyoso.

Miriam Germán Brito appointed Fernando Quezada García and Isis de la Cruz Duarte as the deputy prosecutors who will investigate the accusation against Ramírez Sánchez through “order number 000089, dated September 21, 2022,” reported the Press Department of the Attorney General’s Office. General.

Yesterday, Francisco García, a lawyer who leads the team that represents Bella Massiel García Paulino and Virginia Ofelia Correa Jiménez, told Diario Libre that after filing the complaint in the next few days they will file a lawsuit in which they seek to have Ramírez Sánchez he is sentenced with a criminal sanction and also civil.

He also maintained that they hope that, in a parallel way, the National Congress will impeach him for incurring an ethical and moral fault in his functions.
