Minsa reports four deaths from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours and 522 new cases


According to the Minsa, the active cases total 4,221, of which 4,053 are in home isolation and 168 hospitalized. Of these cases, 4,021 are at home and 32 in hotels. Those hospitalized are 144 in the ward and 24 in the ICU.

A total of 522 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in the last 24 hours for a total of 757,061 confirmed cases, reported the Ministry of Health (Minsa). They also pointed out that four deaths have been registered and one from previous dates is updated for a cumulative of 8,106 deaths and a lethality of 1.1%.

According to the Minsa, the active cases total 4,221, of which 4,053 are in home isolation and 168 hospitalized. Of these cases, 4,021 are at home and 32 in hotels. Those hospitalized are 144 in the ward and 24 in the ICU.

Those recovered amount to 744,734, of which 522 are newly recovered. 7,319 tests were applied for a positivity of 7.1%.

The Minsa reiterates to the population that if they present symptoms related to Covid-19, go immediately to a health facility to seek medical care and take a Covid-19 test.
