Ministry of Health reports 7,823 new cases and 24 deaths from Covid-19

Saturday’s day ended with 7,823 new cases of Covid-19 across the country. This is reflected in the daily report of the Ministry of Health and Sports, which highlighted that the fatality rate of the virus fell to 0.7%.

The new infections of this day were centered in Santa Cruz with 3,432, Cochabamba that registered 845, La Paz 830, Chuquisaca 763, Tarija 651, Potosí 522, Oruro 585, Beni 181 and Pando 14.

In the same way, the report of 24 people who died on this day had to be regretted and the fatality rate so far reaches 0.6%.

Vaccination

To date, doses between the first, second, third, unit doses have been applied to the different age groups of the Sputnik V, AstraZeneca, Sinopharm, Pfizer and Janssen vaccines throughout the national territory.

A total of 5,148,259 people, including health workers, teachers, seniors, over 18 years of age and pregnant women, received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine. While another 3,790,222 people received the second dose.

On the other hand, Another group of 992,674 people received the single dose and 641,413 people over 18 years of age and with underlying diseases received the third dose.

The report establishes that to date 332,370 children from 5 to 11 years old received the first dose, 44,687 the second, while 579,270 doses were applied to adolescents aged 12 to 17 years in the first doses and 355,591 in the second.
