The Soriano Municipality was informed by the Ministry of Environment (MA) that prior environmental authorization was granted to the Ministry of Transport and Public Works (MTOP) regarding the project to build a new bridge over the San Salvador River, in Dolores towards Mercedes.
The resolution signed by the Minister of the Environment, Cr. Robert Bouvier, also authorizes the access road layout to the bridge, located between routes 105 and 96.
As you may recall, last year the historic bridge cracked and had to be repaired, but this work was carried out on a temporary basis.
Now, this authorization from the MA enables the company in charge of the works to “advance in the process to begin the works that will allow for a new bridge at the entrances to the city of Dolores, a project long desired by the entire community,” the Soriano Municipality indicated in a statement.
