The Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Jose Telloannounced that the ministers of the different portfolios will travel to the regions declared in emergency by the protests and mobilizations.
“Repression is the last thing you want, but what the state of emergency seeks is to provide security, what you have to do is ask them to stopLet this be handled in another way. What you have to ask for is that the bloc be put down and that this not be handled without violence”, assured RPP.
“We are traveling to the emergency zones soon to generate channels of dialogue”, added.
Yesterday, President Dina Boluarte announced in a message to the Nation that the regions of Apurímac, Arequipa and Ica go into a state of emergency, after deaths were recorded during confrontations.
The deaths occurred during the clashes in Andahuaylas and the protests due to the political crisis facing the country due to the coup d’état by Pedro Castillo and the assumption of Dina Boluarte as president.
Since 9 pm last Sunday, the members of the ministerial cabinet met in an emergency to adopt measures regarding what happened in Huancabamba.
The Minister of the Interior, César Cervantes, who hours before had announced the possibility of implementing a state of emergency, confirmed that the measure will be applied “as soon as possible” and that the norm is already being prepared at the administrative level. He remarked that it is dictated by the “principle of authority” that the Executive has.
