“Today we held an important videoconference with the presidents and managers of water sources of the hydrological offices of the Ministry of Popular Power for Water Care (MinAguas), to follow up on the 1×10 of Good Government and the behavior of reservoirs throughout the country, to guarantee its operability, as directed by our President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros”.
This was announced by Minister Rodolfo Marco Torres, on his Twitter social network account, this Monday.
It should be noted that, with the purpose of supplying drinking water to the Guarica population and supplying the vital liquid to farmers, the Ministry of Popular Power for Water Attention (MinAguas), through Hidropáez, carried out the rehabilitation of the Guárico reservoir , located in the city of Calabozo, Francisco de Miranda municipality.
Among the works is the electrification of the intake tower and the automation of the closing and opening of the emergency gates. In addition, bars were installed to optimize the security of the facilities; Solar panels were placed for lighting and maintenance was carried out on the dissipating box of the regulation and emergency gates.
This reservoir benefits the producers of 35,000 hectares of rice and livestock, it is considered one of the largest in Venezuela and Latin America.
In this way, MinAguas advances with the instructions of President Nicolás Maduro Moros, to improve the facilities of the National Water System, and thereby respond to the Venezuelan people.
