Mayer Mizrachi: ‘I think what we need in this country are better politicians’

Since 2018, Mayer Mizrachi has attended the Rockero Alcázar municipal gym, located in Curundú and resumed his boxing training in February of this year; Seeing the poor conditions of the place, he took the initiative to change the floor, the lights, among other areas.

These works that the businessman and entrepreneur have led for a few months have generated a couple of reactions from Internet users and citizens, stating that Mizrachi is looking to enter politics, however, this is not the case.

According to Mayer, “I’m an independent, independents have until August 15 to apply; I don’t have any plans to run at all.”

He added that he may have political ambitions, but since the pandemic he has been providing social support of all kinds, “this does not come from now, that is Mayer. In my opinion, I think that what we need in this country are better politicians, I am simply demonstrating that one does not have to be a politician to be a Panamanian; one can be a Panamanian and part of this society without being a politician”.

He assured that there are some traumas produced by the political class, but “there is nothing more that I appreciate than my financial independence, my political independence and doing what I want, without having to report to anyone, without having to rule to sociopolitical structures or electoral campaigns. I support when it comes to me”.
