The mayor stated that in the rest of the city the day passed without setbacks “fortunately we did not have the situation that arose in the last elections of the March 13 in the district of Guachaca where it was not possible to vote, but today security and the right to vote were guaranteed,” he added.
For their part, the Santa Marta district police reported that “once the facts were presented at the polling station, the Metropolitan Police of Santa Marta proceeded to locate the citizen and a summons order was imposed on him for behavior contrary to coexistence described in Article 33 numeral 2 literal B, which leads to a general fine type 3 according to law 1801 of 2016 national code of security and coexistence “.

In Santa Marta, 51.4% of voters chose Gustavo Petro, 22.7% Federico Gutiérrez and 19.3% voted for Rodolfo Hernández.
