Nicholas Maduro ordered this Thursday to recover all the Comprehensive Diagnostic Centers (CDI) and the popular clinics of Barrio Adentro throughout Venezuela.
During an act for the 19th anniversary of Barrio Adentro, Maduro indicated that a technological refoundation plan should be finalized for all the equipment with which attention is given in the Barrio Adentro Mission.
«The CDI, outpatient clinics and all the health facilities that must be fixed, rebuilt or recovered have to be done behind open doors. We are going to empower the People so that they are the ones who monitor, control and guarantee the full operation for comprehensive care », he said.
He also announced the incorporation of a program, within the Barrio Adentro Mission, called “100% health” and the inauguration of a new headquarters of the Salvador Allende University, which will be of “first level, modern and more extensive.”
To this end, the president insisted that the goal for the health sector is to attract 30,000 students to study comprehensive medicine, and attract young people from the Caribbean, Africa and the United States who want to train at the aforementioned university institution.
