Despite the uncontrollable increase that the price of the dollar has had, official and parallel, he affirmed that “we have managed to appease the disturbance in the last three months, which had a great impact on the exchange system in the country; the fundamentally market exchange system”.
He indicated that the economy must have an exchange system that is nourished by foreign currency with its own production process and “a virtuous circle that allows having a sufficient assortment of foreign currency.”
Maduro on changes in the region
Maduro assured that the victories obtained in Colombia, by Gustavo Petro, and Brazil, by Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, open the door to the resumption of integration projects among the peoples of the region.
“With Colombia, this year we have made a lot of progress, the opening of the borders began, which have already been completed for the total freedom of border crossings, with the opening of the binational bridge, Atanasio Girardot,” he added.
He recalled that peace talks were established from Venezuela with the project promoted by his Colombian counterpart Gustavo Petro.
On the arrival of Lula da Silva to the Brazilian presidency, Maduro stressed that it is a geopolitical advance for regionalist projects, for the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (Celac), for the resumption of projects in the South, for the Union of Nations South American, from the Bank of the South”.
He recalled that since the Climate Change Summit, COP27 held in Egypt, Venezuela proposed, along with Colombia and Suriman, as well as Lula in Brazil, to carry out a Summit of the Amazon Treaty Organization, which brings together all the Amazon countries. from South America.
“We will be there with the voice of Venezuela, recovering the Amazon Treaty Organization, and also, reaching an emergency plan to recover the Amazon, to defend the Amazon as the great lungs of the world; it is one of the great agreements between Colombia, Suriname and Brazil”, he maintained.
The ruler Nicolás Maduro offered a balance of the so-called “1 × 10 of good government.” He pointed out that there are more than 48,000 communal councils that work and that citizens are permanently mobilized with social programs, educational missions, the health mission, with the Local Supply and Production Committees (CLAP), although in reality and according to the latest Encovi these benefits have decreased.
“We have been evaluating for a long time, looking for a method through which the people can communicate their alerts, their complaints, their needs, directly to the Government, in coordination with regional governments and municipal governments,” he explained.
He stressed that precisely to channel the complaints, the Venapp was born, in which a Line 58 window was programmed, so that the people could make their complaints and that they reach a “central presidential command post.”
He added to his explanation that the app This application was given three priorities to start “complaints of situations in the public water service, which, according to all measurements, was one of the highest priority issues, of greatest concern for the people. In education, and in health. We start with those three themes. And it’s been fabulous.”
With this attention, the National Government managed, in the year 2022, to complete “the equation of the most felt problems of the population, so that people make their complaints. And the result has been wonderful, because this connects us directly to the real problem of the community, and also forces the State, institutions and public bodies to respond and resolve in real time”.
According to Maduro “we have achieved 85% response capacity in complaints, alerts, in the resolution, for example, the rupture of a water pipe, of a sewage pipe.” He explained that almost seven million people have registered in the system, citizens who are members of the 1 × 10 of Good Government.
He recalled that with the “1 × 10 of good government” the Military Community Brigades for Education and Health (Bricomiles) emerged to serve the sector that, he assured, received the onslaught of the sanctions.
“We are working miracles, we are doing things that were impossible to plan due to the lack of resources, a product of the blockade, criminal persecution, imperialism; We are doing things with the resources of Popular Power, the Armed Forces, and with resources provided by the National Government. We have repaired thousands of schools, which are already 100% restored. We have repaired hundreds of outpatient clinics and we are advancing on the big issues. So the 1×10 of the Good Government has been a happy creation of the year 2022”, he said about the works of these brigades.
