Lawyer Francisco Carreira: ‘We cannot leave this country to the cartels that dominate the Assembly’

He explained that the Unity Movement is made up of people who were political candidates in the past elections, as well as community leaders, young students, among others.

“We cannot leave this country to the cartels that dominate the Assembly”, with this phrase, the lawyer Francisco “Paco” Carreira referred this Wednesday to the creation of a new party, whose name is the Unity Movement.

He explained that since August of last year they presented the required documentation before the headquarters of the Electoral Tribunal, however, they have not received a formal response from the entity to make said group official.

He explained that this movement is made up of people who were political candidates in the past elections, as well as community leaders, young students, among others.

“There is a movement of people who want to participate again in the political scene, I am of the conviction that if we independent candidates can present an electoral offer as we really should, taking advantage of the advantages that the law gives us, we can have a majority of representative deputies in the Assembly”, expressed the lawyer.
